Picardy sideboard, two-part
An emblematic piece of furniture from the Hauts-de-France region, the Picardy sideboard, traditionally called a traite, is presented here in its two-part form. This piece is meant to hold the household’s entire table service, with pewter, earthenware and porcelain all gathered in one place.
This creation highlights the mastery of volumes, the nobility of traditional joinery and the finesse of the hand-carved ornaments that make this regional style so distinctive.

The side display cabinets show off the finest pieces while keeping them safe. The central shelves hold the classic items: serving dishes, pewter pieces and other precious porcelain creations.
The lower section also offers generous storage space, with drawers and height-adjustable shelves. All the doors are decorated with regional emblems: the Picardy rose, with a heart at its centre symbolising marriage. It is a piece traditionally given to young couples when they set up home.
