Curiosity cabinet
The curiosity cabinets appeared with the development of explorations in distant countries. The scholars and researchers wanted to expose unknown plant species, animals, and insects. It was a small private museum in beautiful homes. The precious trophies were arranged in jewel cases, decorated with carvings.
Collecting beautiful objects is older than we imagine. More than 100 canes of gold and precious wood, as well as several boxes, had been discovered by Mr. Howard Carter in the tomb of Tutankhamun. Nowadays, shrewd collectors want to dedicate a space to their unusual objects and unique pieces.
